After a lavish, sleepless, exciting and celebratory New Year’s Eve comes the first day of the New Year. . . quieter, calmer, more timid and serious. . . yet optimistic, traditional and romantic at heart! Everyone has their own rituals for the day and ours is to spend the first morning hours watching the ballet of Vienna, as it accompanies the Vienna Philharmonic, playing classical pieces from the Strauss family.
