It’s this year that luxury fashion brands have gone more digital than ever and hence. . . utterly creative! This has prompted the online fashion scene to go wild with ideas for us. Last year, we mentioned a few of our favorite campaigns. . . which prompted us to create a 2011 list that includes all of the best online holiday campaigns out there. Enjoy!
The British luxury brand takes the leading seat when it comes to digital creativity and this years festive theme blew our minds. Start by visiting the site and you’ll get a warm welcome by the red ribboned boxes to get you in the mood. . . Then head to the Burberry Festive Card for a one-of-a-kind experience. As soon as the card loads you’re transferred to a magical snowy mysterious spot in the middle of a forest welcomed by a handsome young man singing you a Winter Carol. Before you even dare to say that’s it? Try moving on to listen to Burberry’s Holiday Cheer as a Chorus joins along all dressed up in gorgeous elegant evening wear and then transforming again in all white Burberry Prorsum coats from the Autumn/Winter Collection 2012 in a complete symphony. Simple marvelous!
2. RALPH LAUREN
Ralph Lauren‘s holiday campaign showcases perfectly the brand’s understated elegance. . . It only takes one visit to it’s website to get all warm and fuzzy inside. This year’s red Navajo-themed collection and it’s Modern Luxury evening wear make us long for a mountain retreat and at the same time wanting to paint the town red. . . looking totally glamorous. And while you’re at it. . . you should look out for the digital holiday cards they are rolling out any day now!
You know that we have a soft spot for advent calendars. . . so much so that had created wishlist advent calendars last year for her and him. It was only natural therefore when we saw Net-A-Porter coming up with its own countdown to Christmas this year that it got us excited, as it spoke right to our hearts! Filled with editorial excellence and precious gift ideas, Net-A-Porter never seems to stay off line any minute.
Talking about true romance. . . Tiffany‘s is creating the most romantic atmosphere with a diamond dressed Laetitia Casta and her beau falling in love in a snowy New York. What a marvelous way to showcase true love and the jewelry that celebrate these special moments. It seems that some Holidays are truly Unforgettable. . .
5. TOMMY HILFIGER
Christmas at the Hilfigers is always fun. For the second year now, the whole family gathers up to show us a good tartan time. We got invited to their house par-tay and we think it’s well worth it checking it out yourselves, here. Get ready though as you’ll most likely end up hosting a holiday part before you know it!
Cartier‘s little leopard is all grown up! Remember the little one from last year playing with the red signature boxes? This year Cartier’s Winter Tale is equally whimsical. . . as the leopard enters a treasure hunt filled with all the Cartier goodies until he finds the perfect spot for him to sit by the Christmas tree. Life is sweet. . .
It’s snowing gold in the House of Dior this year. . . As the door opens to the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” from the Nutcracker, we discover the fabulous winter collection of the luxury brand and get to marvel the chic accessories from bags, to shoes, to jewelry to eyewear. . . we end up wanting it all! Dior is a true God (“Dieu”) of Gold (“Or”) after all.
8. CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN
It’s not like you get the infamous Christian Louboutin to dress up as Santa himself every year. It makes the Holiday season a little more special, don’t you think? A Louboutin-filled advent calendar is what we only need really. . . but it’s that good, playful and tempting that might drive you a little overboard. So make sure to keep it away from your dads, husbands or boyfriends. Yeah, better keep the checking the boxes daily to yourselves.
9. LANVIN & CLARIDGES
Lanvin is teaming up with Claridges this year to decorate their Christmas tree. . . A dolled up Alber Elbaz decorates this year in the iconic lobby of the London’s hotel. What’s even more inspiring is the way Lanvin has created an real magic holiday event into a unique online experience with this video. As Mr. Thomas Kochs, Claridge’s general manager, mentions “The House of Lanvin and Claridge’s are synonymous with longstanding tradition and timeless glamour, and we are sure to bring the Christmas magic alive this festive season.”
10. YVES SAINT LAURENT
It really doesn’t take much to work on someone’s shopping appetite. Just the right amount of ribbon wrapping it seems. YSL has created a very inviting gift guide for its loyal customers and though it’s not as creative as the other fashion teams on this list, it’s definitely festive! They say after all, simplicity goes a long way. . . and there you go! Do leave us your tips, if you were mesmerized by any other holiday campaigns this year. . . We can never get enough of them!
