We know it’s early to think what we will wear next fall, but Chanel‘s pre-fall 2012 collection was spectacular. . . a real trip to India! According to Karl Langerfeld, “We’ve had Paris-London, we’ve had Paris-Shanghai, so it felt like time to go off the circuit, to somewhere less expected. And Coco [Chanel] loved Indian jewelry. But it’s not a cheap tourist tour of India! It was sophisticated, no?” The Paris-Bombay themed collection is full of colors and jewels, inspired by India’s Maharajas. The models rocked the runway with nose rings, dreadlocks twisted into updos, hair jewelry and intense black eyeliner. We can never get enough of Chanel! Just when you think the iconic brand is classic, it reinvents itself exceeding any expectations. Tell us which was your favorite runway look?
