Fab Collaborations

This coming month we are seeing a few of our favorite designers go all high street on us! We imagine this is music to your ears. . . as much as to ours. Get a sneak peek of their designs and pencil the dates on your calendars!

Mary Katrantzou for Topshop

The award winning fashion designer Mary Katrantzou, who has charmed the fashion world with her innovative prints, collaborates with Topshop and creates a 14-piece spring/summer collection. The sleek capsule collection will be exclusively sold at Topshop from February 2012.

Marni for H&M

H&M already has its next designer collaboration lined up with Marni. The collection, which encompasses womenswear, menswear, jewelry, shoes, bags, and scarves, hits 260 H&M stores worldwide and online on March 8, 2012. We all look forward to tribal prints mixed with colorful Bauhaus graphics: “I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints,” explains Consuelo Castiglioni. The preview disguised that the silhouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knit, and fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin.

Sophia Kokosalaki for Asos

Sophia Kokosalaki has collaborated with Asos.com on a collection of chic, affordable and ethically made clothes. Drawing on Sophia’s heritage, “Kore” translates to “maiden” or “daughter” in Ancient Greek – signifying youth, purity, strength and elegance. The empowerment of young women via promotion of social responsibility is central to the brand. The pieces in the collection range from £60 to £495, which for the quality  is such an affordable and realistic price bracket.
