How to photograph non-structured bags

You thought we would leave you alone. . . with no tips for you on how to use our Netrobe app more efficiently? Well, you were totally wrong! Here at Netrobe, we want to help you use the app the best way possible, so that you create beautiful pictures for your closet database. This time we are focusing on bags! Not just any bags. . . but the large tote or hobo ones that our slouchy and hard to photograph just by placing them on your desk, bed or floor! The secret is elsewhere. . . so lets begin!


Pick a rubber band. . . ideally a transparent one or neutral in color.

Stock the bag with paper or any material in order to bring out it’s shape. Hang the bag with the help of the rubber band so that you create a floating experience. You can do the same with your closet handle, if the background is less busy. Now take a photo of it. . . and remember to use flash in a gloomy lighted area for better results!

Start with the automagic tool of Netrobe to remove the majority of the unwanted background.

Now move over to crop… Eliminate the unwanted space by circling the item. You’re almost done! Brush off your details with the touch of the wand tool and you’re good to go!
