Mad about the Boy

The Chanel Boy bag has gone from an IT-bag to the next must-have piece on every woman’s wishlist. . . Named after Coco Chanel‘s biggest love, Boy Capel, the Boy has become in just a few months a classic piece that every wardrobe is lusting over. The bag’s look is clean-cut, serious, androgynous and perhaps not very Chanel-like. There’s no stitching and no quilting in sight. Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by a cartridge bag made for hunters that Coco Chanel used to carry.  In his own word’s, “Chanel used men’s underwear to make dresses; she had this boyish attitude, in fact, it is the very spirit of Chanel. She got it from Boy Capel, the great love of her life, which, incidentally, explains why the new bag is called the Boy Chanel.” We see plenty of admirers already, among Chanel muse, Blake Lively and the Face of the Boy Bag, Alice Dellal. Oh, Boy. . . Oh, Boy! How much we want you. . .
