Isa Arfen is our new discovery and our complete summer desire. The Central Saint Martins alumnus Serafina Sama is the multitalented personality behind the brand. After spending two years in Chloe and having undertaken several projects with Acne, Louis Vuitton and Charlotte Olympia, she started sketching a few summer dresses with the idea of selling them in Formentera, where she has spent most of her summers. ‘I wanted the pieces to be very easy to wear, with a relaxed attitude but also with a hint of old school glamour’, she says. The first 40 dresses sold out within a couple of days and both friends and customers were asking for more, so that’s when she felt that this could turn into something more than just a hobby – and Isa Arfen (an anagram of “Serafina” but also a little homage to her late grandmother Isa) was born.

She launches her new collection with absolute success.
