We are delighted to welcome Rebecca Laurey, the fashionable soul behind the groundbreaking blog Raspberry & Rouge. We ‘ve been following her successfully stable steps for some time now and we have to admit she is one of our very favorite bloggers. Her authenticity and beauty makes her unique, her style has been featured in many titles from Elle to Who What Wear but what really distinguish her is her elegant coolness, this unexplainable vibe she transmits through her writings and photographs. Her everyday fairytale life from London to India is genuine and it seems that she really enjoys it!
NETROBE: When did you start blogging and why? I started blogging 2,5 years ago because I was looking for an outlet for all my fashion related inspiration. I wanted to share that with likeminded people, with the same passion. It started out as something I just did for fun, I never planned or expected for it to become my daily occupation!
NETROBE: How would you define your personal style? Any style icons? My personal style is simple, monochromatic, a bit sporty with lots of leather and structured clean cut clothing – maybe a bit grungy at times. I don’t really have any specific style icons, or persons I look at when it comes to fashion. I do tend to dress more like the Scandinavians dress with some California cool added from time to time (I love my jeans and tied up shirts!).
NETROBE: You favorite items in your wardrobe? Ooooh, that’s a hard one. Definitely my two favorite black bags, the one from Alexander Wang and Delvaux. I also ADORE my black Alexander Wang boots. But also, that knit I got at ZARA a few years back that’s staple in my wardrobe for years now.
NETROBE: Which brands do you love wearing the most? I try to combine high street with designer, Alexander Wang and Zara for example. I also love my jeans collection, coming from brands like Citizens of Humanity, 7 For All Mankind and Paige. And this year, I don’t know why it took me so long to figure it out, I started a love affair with a couple of Australian brands: MLM the Label, Jamie Fame, Toni Maticevski, Elliot Laber, Winston Wolfe, West 14th. They’re doing such an insanely good job, it’s a shame that these guys are not represented in every fashion loving European girl’s closet yet.
NETROBE: Designers and/or other bloggers you admire? I admire, there he is again, and absolutely ADORE what he’s creating, Alexander Wang. So young and already so big. His own label, running Balenciaga, you name it, he’s done it. Thumbs up. When it comes to my blogging colleagues, I obviously look up to some girls. What they’ve achieved by believing in themselves, working hard and following their dreams. Amazing. It might sound a bit corny, but it’s so cool to see that if you really want something, you can make it happen. Make a profession out of that hobby. My very good friend and colleague Zanita has taught me so much when it comes to that. Not only a creative genius when it comes to styling, but also an amazing photographer.
NETROBE: How would you style the Little Black Dress? I would style it with an oversized (boyfriend?) coat or blazer and ankle boots. Add an oversized clutch or cross body bag and I’d be good to go.
NETROBE: What’s the best way to match a pair of jeans? Jeans are the most versatile pieces in anyone’s wardrobe. Still, for me, it’s the best when paired with a simple white tee or tank. Less is more.
NETROBE: What’s your favorite thing about Netrobe? I love how you can either create new outfits by selecting your favorite pieces, or find the accompanying clothing for looks you’ve already worn on your blog for example. It’s like having you dream wardrobe, the possibility and access to create looks with anything from anywhere. Amazing!
