The collection was just amazing..The jewels were displayed in a planetarium, the twinkling ceiling rivaling that of the American Museum of Natural History, with the original jewels designed by Coco Chanel, as well as the 80 new pieces, displayed around the perimeter of the round room like floating constellations of white, yellow, and black diamonds; blue and pink sapphires; and planet-like pearls. Don’t you wish you were there?

We all just look up to its founder Madeleine Vionnet, because what she was able to do was just unnatural.” Sneak peek into the private party and enjoy the best dressed of the night!

The party for The Perks of Being a Wallflower screening hosted by the Cinema Society at Donna Karan’s East Hampton home was full of glamour, style and joy! The exhibition showcases approximately ninety designs and thirty accessories by Schiaparelli (1890–1973) from the late 1920s to the early 1950s and by Prada from the late 1980s to the present. Drawn from The Costume Institute’s collection and the Prada Archive, as well as other institutions and private collections, signature objects by both designers are arranged in seven themed galleries presented below.
