1987 - Kate as a five-year-old.

2002 – While at university, she appeared on the runway during a DON’T WALK charity catwalk show wearing a sheer strapless dress by designer Charlotte Todd. The dress, which was originally designed as a skirt and cost £30 to make, later sold at auction for £125,000!

March 2004 – Kate and William engaged on a skiing holiday in Klosters, Switzerland. After William had previously denied having a steady girlfriend, their romance was made public after pictures from this holiday appeared in the press.

August 2004 – Three years into her relationship with the Prince, she was pictured at the Game Fair at Blenheim Palace with a statement belt and socks peeping out from her Penelope Chilvers boots.

News of her death first hit the internet when close friend and designer Stefano Gabbanna tweeted “RIP Anna Piaggi… (((( ciao grande Anna!!!” Since then, there has been an outpouring of support on Twitter for the woman whom Bill Cunningham described in his documentary as ‘a fine poet with clothes’. Dita Von Teese stated that Anna Piaggi was the height of glamorous eccentricity. We can’t help it but agree and goodbye Anna as she will remain in our heart.
