Lauren Santo Domingo is a co-founder and creative director of Moda Operandi, a conceptual online store of a membership service that allows customers to pre-order the latest runway collections. After her bachelor’s in History, Lauren entered the fashion world as an assistant at Vogue, working her way up to Associate Market Editor. In 2004, she left Vogue to be the Public Relations director at J. Mendel in Paris, before becoming Carolina Herrera’s Public Relations head. In 2006, she returned to Vogue as a Contributing Editor and consults for various fashion designers in New York City and Milan.

At the age of 34, LSD (yes, it’s the latest trend using initials for style icons) is the name that you see most on invitations of fashion shows, galas and any high-profile event. She has chaired multiple social events and charities in New York and serves on the most sought after committees, including that of the Met Costume Institute Gala.

Being on the top of the social and fashion rank, LSD can get her hands on anything she wants. She’s friends with most of the American and not-only designers, she is the first to get their pieces, sometimes even before the collections hit the runways.

The NY Magazine has included her in the ‘Who Runs NY’ column whereas she has been featured in the most coveted websites, blogs and magazines including Style.com, The Coveteur, Habitually Chic and many more others. No surprise as Lauren Santo Domingo is with no doubt one of the classiest style icons of our times. She single-handedly pioneered the “street style” blogosphere, and we became obsessed with the PS1 Bag after we saw Mrs. LSD’s plethora of Jack and Lazaro’s bags adorning her arms.

As one of the world’s most recognized style authorities, she has the talent to mix and match and alter styles accordingly. From a fairy tale Marchesa princess to an androgynous YSL business woman, she admirably walks down the streets of New York and it is no surprise that Lauren Santo Domingo is with no doubt one of the classiest style icons of our times.
